Vivian Elaine Andrews, age 74, of Franklin, died Monday (June 10, 2013). Mrs. Andrews was born Nov. 23, 1938 and raised on a farm in Elora to parents Clifford and Clara Carlisle. She loved sports, the outdoors and knew how to put in a good day’s work. In school she enjoyed playing basketball for her team. While working at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., she met and married Phillip Andrews.
Wayne Darnell Winsett of Petersburg, former mayor of Petersburg and local business owner, died Thursday (June 6, 2013) at his residence. He was 82. Erskine Bailey, 86, of Plevna, Ala., died Saturday evening (June 8, 2013) at the Lincoln Medical Center. Mr. Bailey was a native of Morrison, the son of the late Thomas Bard and Carrie Mae Ledman Bailey. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Vernon S. Baker, 69, of Lynchburg, formerly of Fayetteville, died Friday (May 17, 2013) at his residence. He was born in Spokane, Wash., on May 1, 1944 to the late David S. and Ella Hathaway Baker.
